Jordan is interested in atmospheric firing on pieces treated with slip and sgraffito that gives an
aged, weathered aesthetic to his work. He credits his “interest in historical craft “ from his
“experiences in Medieval Re-enactments while participating in the Society of Creative
Anachronism, which taught him to research and pay attention to the importance of craft as an
insight into our past and future”.

Jordan will provide both a visual presentation and pottery demonstration at the March 17
Burlington Potters Guild meeting.
