Marissa Alexander is a Hamilton-based artist working primarily with clay. She holds a BA in Sociology from McMaster University and received her Advanced Diploma in Craft and Design (Ceramics) from Sheridan College. She was a full- time Artist-in-Residence at Harbour- front Center, and recently graduated from Alfred University, receiving her MFA in Ceramic Art. Making both functional and sculptural works, material and process are central to her ceramics practice and she aims to make things that engage her, other people and other objects. Marissa has work in the current AGB exhibition “How to read a Vessel.”
