Join us for a ZOOM presentation by Eiko Maeda
After originally studying Japanese lacquer (Urushi).at Joshibi University of Art and Design in Tokyo, years later after moving to Montreal, Eiko Maeda began to pursue her interest in art through ceramics at the Visual Arts Centre.
From her studio in Woodbridge, ON. she has developed her style using the technique of nerikomi, after attending a workshop taught by Eiji Murofushi, one of the pioneers in the field of nerikomi ceramics in 2013 in Fuji, Japan.
She has been awarded several awards for her work, including from the OAC for career development and or her work.
